Privacy Policy
Effective June 23, 2026
Distribify ("we," "us," or "our") provides a mobile and web platform that helps distribution businesses manage orders, invoices, deliveries, and client relationships (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Distribify, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who This Policy Covers
Distribify is used by two types of accounts:
- Distributors ("Owners") — businesses that subscribe to Distribify to manage their own customers, products, and deliveries.
- Clients — the customers of a distributor, invited by an Owner to place orders and manage their account through the app.
This policy applies to both. If you are a Client, the Owner who invited you is responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide about you, and you can contact them directly, or us, to access, correct, or delete it.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and (for Owners) business name, address, and tax settings.
Order and transaction data. We store the products, orders, invoices, delivery addresses, and payment status associated with your account, so the Service can function.
Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. We retain limited billing metadata (such as subscription status and the last four digits of a card, if provided by Stripe) needed to manage your account.
Communications. Messages sent through the in-app chat between Owners and Clients are stored so the conversation history is available to both parties.
Device and usage information. We automatically collect limited technical information, such as device type, operating system, app version, and crash logs, to help us maintain and improve the Service.
Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store a device token used to deliver order, invoice, and message alerts.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the core features of the Service — orders, invoicing, delivery tracking, messaging, and payments.
- To send transactional notifications (order confirmations, invoice reminders, delivery updates).
- To process subscription billing through Stripe.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To monitor, debug, and improve the reliability and security of the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.
4. How Information Is Shared
We share information only as necessary to operate the Service:
- Between Owners and their Clients. An Owner can see the order history, contact details, and messages of their own Clients. Clients can see the products, pricing, and business information of the Owner who invited them.
- Service providers. We use Google Firebase for authentication, data storage, and push notifications, and Stripe, Inc. for payment processing. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Distribify, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If Distribify is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or record-keeping obligations. If you cancel your subscription, your workspace data is retained for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted upon request.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and correction. You can review and edit most of your profile information directly within the app.
- Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hello@distribify.com. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
- Notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
- Data export. Owners can request a copy of their workspace data (orders, invoices, client list) in a portable format by contacting us.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and Firebase Security Rules that isolate each distributor's workspace data — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Distribify is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International Users
Distribify is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
11. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at hello@distribify.com.
